I’m Kate Smiley,

a licensed clinical social worker with a passion for guiding individuals towards healing and transformation. I specialize in helping adult men and women work through their challenges, uncover underlying issues, develop coping strategies, and foster personal growth.

With over 14 years of experience, I bring a depth of lived and clinical experience to each session… along with a healthy dose of humor, enthusiasm, and compassion. I’m here to create a supportive space where you can be vulnerable and honest.

Raised in Los Angeles, I grew up in the depths of the entertainment industry and spent the early days of my career as an actress. After witnessing first hand the impact of trauma on family members and friends, I acted on a lifelong calling towards helping others and became a therapist. I received my MSW from University of Southern California School of Social Work, where I was recognized with the top clinical award in my class. I have been asked to be a guest lecturer on more than one occasion.

At Re-Imagine Therapy, consider me a companion in your journey towards self-discovery. My goal is to be a compassionate and empathetic partner in this process. Given my lived experiences dealing with loss, marriage, work, and raising children, I understand what you’re going through — whether you’re just starting to feel like an adult, or you’re entering into your later life phases.
